R.I.P AMRO..ive been stabbed in the back 4 times and i thanking god that im still alive..

YOU SEE HE WAS A YOUNG BOY, AND JUST BECAUSE HE HAD A LOT OF FRIENDS, THAT DOES NOT MEAN HE'S IN A 'GANG' STRAIGHT AWAY. I AM 16 YEARS OLD, AND I AM A YOUTH WORKER, I TOOK A GROUP OF KIDS TO PERFORM IN A SHOW, AND THEY GOT ATTACKED AND I GOT STABBED 4 TIMES AND LEFT WITH BLOOD POURING OUT, IT MISSED MY ARTERIES BY 1CM AND I COULD OF BEEN DEAD,POLICE RECORD IT IN THEIR SYSTEM AS 'GANG RELATED' BUT ANYWAY...THIS HAPPEND EARLY NOVEMBER AND I CAME OUT HOSPITAL IN CHRISTMAS..WE ALL LEARN LESSONS AND THE AREA I COME FROM..PEOPLE STILL THINK CARRYING A KNIEF IS THE ONE..I VALUE LIFE SO MUCH AND I FELT REALLY SAD WHEN I HEARD ABOUT AMRO..HE WAS REALLY YOUNG AND WAS GOOD TO HIS PEOPLE.. I REALLY HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE TRY AND FORGET ABOUT AMRO AND OTHER PEOPLE, IT DOESNT EVEN CROSS THEIR MINDS WHAT THEIR FAMILY COULD BE GOING THROUGH..I FEEL THAT SO MANY PEOPLE ARE ARROGANT AND SELFISH..WATCH WHEN IT HAPPENS TO THEM OR THEIR FRIEND..ITS NOT NICE TO GO THROUGH SOMETHING LIKE THIS OR TO LOSE A CLOSE FRIEND OR HAVE YOUR FRIEND LOSE SOMEONE. REST IN PEACE AND FEEL FREE TO TALK TO ME..

This incident should not have happened. It could have been prevented. My heart bleeds when I think of this poor child, how many more untimely deaths will it take before youts start fixing up? FIX... UP! stop messing around in gangs, they don't mean shit, the only gang in your life is your family because they are the only ones who will love you unconditionally, all this 3 letter gang business is bullshit... youts are so concerned with how they are perceived, their image... well how big do you think you come across when you roll up with 10 brudas every time a confrontation occurs? or when you pull out a shank in a fist fight? cause to me that image is cowardly... we need to wake up and smell the fucking reality, realize that society wants to keep underprivileged, young minority men down in the system. Rise above the ranks and make something of your life because you only get one shot, and like poor Amro that shot can easily fall in the hands of another person...
my thoughts and prayers are with this young soldier, may the violence stop here, retaliation is not the answer..
